Burrell
Foley Fischer LLP are an award winning, design led architectural practice with
a recognised commitment to achieving high quality in the built environment. We
are recognised as one of the leading practices specialising in buildings for
cinema, media and the performing arts, together with urban design, residential
and educational design and the adaptation and restoration of historic
buildings. Extensive experience has been gained through working closely with
clients from different sectors for three decades, and working collaborations
with residents and young people is another recognised strength and area of
expertise and experience within the practice.
We
have designed buildings for Clients across the public, private and subsidised
sectors including concert halls, theatres, cinemas, media, galleries and
performing arts buildings. We have undertaken new build, refurbishment and
building conservation commissions and have extensive experience and knowledge
of working with existing building stock and large, problematic estates. We have
a recognised track record in the design and construction of schools, housing,
and urban design studies. The practice has won many awards for its projects,
not only for design quality, but also for innovation and how projects have
responded to the Client’s brief, the delivery of the project and the finished
product.
We
adopt a rigorous approach to our work, developed through years of experience
working alongside clients with high aspirations, often on difficult sites within
tightly capped budgets. Our success has been achieved by gaining a through
understanding of each individual client’s needs, an appreciation of the
specific drivers of each project, a detailed knowledge of the building type, a
disciplined and intellectual analysis of the context and by producing
imaginative responses and creative solutions. The buildings designed by the Practice stand the test of
time and are being used and enjoyed by large numbers of people every single
day, whether as places to live, to work, to learn, to collaborate or simply to
socialise and relax.
